We love our life at Equinox Village. The staff is outstanding, always bending over backwards to help in any way. Our apartment is spacious and light filled. Being on the ground floor means we have a patio and a garden. The menu choices are extensive and the food is excellent. There are many activities to keep us active and involved. I have lived here at Equinox Village since my apartment was built, and have never ever regretted the move! Having been in the real estate business for 40 years, and built or renovated and lived in 12 homes, I was ready for no more home maintenance responsibilities! BEST move I ever made! No worries, terrific staff, wonderful food, still enjoy close by skiing, summer club, made life-long friends, as well as all my local buddies! I travel all over the world without worrying about my home, which by-the-way is spacious, high-ceilinged, sunny, with beautiful views! Come and visit!

Within the past year, we moved from our home in Manchester a couple miles up the road to Equinox Village.. In retrospect, it was the best move we could have made at this point on our life. My mother was fortunate to live at Equinox Village for almost seven years. She was extremly happy there! Her apartment was spacious, with a full kitchen, laundry room, a beautiful view and lots of natural light. She adored her neighbors and all the other residents and made some very dear friends there over the years.The staff is wonderful, many of them have been there since the beginning and they go above and beyond every single day. Places like Equinox Village are hard to find, filled with warmth, a gracious staff and a group of incredibly interesting, and active residents. There are art shows, wonderful holiday events and unexpected daily treats! It's a pleasantly formal atmosphere with a nod towards comfort. The dining room is open for lunch and dinner and the food is very good! Many options, daily specials and over the years I've watched the healthy offerings increase with the overall changes in the way we eat nowadays. The soups are excellent!! And no one misses Sunday brunch!Kirt Sampson is the CEO and he impresses me again and again with the balancd way that he runs things. Most recently, his preparedness during the pandemic was weeks ahead of our nation!

My mother chose to live Equinox Village, and I couldn't imagine a nicer home for her. The apartments are spacious, with a beautiful view. The staff is friendly and caring, going out of their way to help the residents. The food is excellent. The Village also offers wonderful activities for the residents—holidays dinners, art exhibits, books groups, and more. The location is convenient, close to grocery, pharmacy, restaurants, shops, and medical care. I am grateful Mom is there.

We are very happy that our decision to move to Equinox Village has worked out so well. Our apartment is spacious and gives us marvelous views of both the Taconics and the Greens as well as all the action at Maple Street School.We knew many of the residents before we arrived and have made many new friends in the last year and a half.We have found the staff to be extraordinarily caring and capable of anticipating when we might like help. Equinox Village is the answer to SO many people's dreams for independent living. So many activities it's hard to choose. A large variety of delightful residents and the Staff is Fabulous! The apartments are Large with high ceilings, and did I mention the Heated Garage (cool in the summer). Our chef is first class and you'll always find what you love on the menus! It's just a wonderful place! Come and see for yourself!

No place is perfect, but Equinox Village comes pretty close. We moved here almost two years ago and realize every day that we made the right choice -- a convenient location, within easy walking distance to things in Manchester, spectacular views of the mountains, and a committed, caring staff. The apartments are spacious and well designed, with plenty of light, and the indoor garage is a definite plus, especially in the winter. There is also a well-equipped exercise room, and the head of the maintenance staff is a certified master personal trainer who knows how to work with a clientele in our age group. We are quite happy here, and we are sure that you will be too.

My mother had her dream ground floor apartment with a patio and mountain views become available, moved in May of ‘22. The staff is excellent, caring, patient, all concerns are addressed quickly. There are extra nursing services available on site, too. She has many opportunities to socialize, exercise, have dinner with friends, chat in the front living room or take a walk. I can see why people come from miles away to live in this attractive community.

Our parents moved into into Equinox Village in late June 2018 and they love it there! The staff is extraordinarily caring and in touch with the residents. They take a personal interest in all residents. There are many opportunities for socialization and learning and so many wonderful activities. The staff is also incredibly welcoming to all of our extended family when we visit. EV is a special place!

Review of Equinox VillagePete and I traveled all over New England checking out retirement communities and chose this one. Equinox Village scored a 10 on all of our wish list items and as it turns out, it is just perfect.Size: The building and number of residents just right. Others were too big and felt too “corporate”.Nowhere did we see 1400 square feet apartments. (One place inMaine that was high on our list had apartments that were 650 square feet.)Location: Southern Vermont - close to NY and Boston. Delightful townof Manchester and local villages. Close to Albany Airport.Philosophy: To provide a luxury living experience for the residents andwhenever possible the experience of staying right here through the end of life.We moved here preemptively, knowing that at some point in time one or both us of would probably need some assistance just because. We made the move while we were both physically very capable of making a move.Once here we discovered the following:The residents are terrific and quickly become good friends.The food is culinary and original and delightful and delicious.The fantastic staff are always caring, supportive and fun.The events are anything and everything from Opera to boat trips and if there is an event you want, it happens.The activities include card games, book clubs, men’s club, croquet, knitting club, exercise classes, yoga, and……In addition to the apartment we live in, we have a storage room, a garage, a game room, an art room, an art gallery, a wood shop, a library, a gym, two multi purpose rooms, a gorgeous dining room, a patio and a community garden. What have I missed?And the cleaning team comes once a week to clean your apartment!!So that is what Equinox Village is.We are so pleased that we had the sense to make such a good decision. And the final benefit - stress free!

It only took my mom about a month or two after moving into Equinox Village to ask the question that I’ve heard so many other residents pose, “Why did I wait so long?!”The lovely apartments and views, the food, array of classes and activities, and caring staff have all enabled her to continue to thrive. She was doing great on her own, but now her overall health and quality of life are even better.Her favorite part has been making so many new friends who are as equally interested in having fun and living well as she is. She’s had a wonderful time getting to know everybody.Thank you EV!! My siblings and I are enormously grateful to know that my mom is so happy and feels such a warm sense of community.

Don't Just Read the Story, Become the Story!Outstanding staff, welcoming residents, vast selection of activities including group outings to theaters and points of interest. The food is excellent with a different menu every day! Holidays and seasons are celebrated with the dining room theme decorated. I love living at Equinox Village where the living is easy!

Stimulating
Definitely the place to live! Interesting, congenial and caring inhabitants reside here in spacious residences with mountain views. Stimulating lectures, exercise classes, all types of entertainment, book clubs, gardening, etc. The staff who keep us happy and healthy are superior. We love it here!
